Detailed Pediatric initial speech and language assessment

This includes a full and detailed report describing the clients speech and linguistic profile with appropriate recommendations. It will include recorded observations as well as a detailed analysis of formal assessments, language samples and therapeutic aims if appropriate. The assessment usually takes approximately 2 hours and is split between 1 and 3 sessions.

Screening speech assessment and initial consultation

A screening speech assessment lasts up to an hour and includes a report. This report includes brief details of the assessment, an inventory of the clients sound system, descriptions of the sound substitutions that are being made and therapeutic aims if appropriate. (This is suitable for a client who is presenting with speech sound difficulties rather than concerns about their language skills).

Standard therapy sessions

Each therapy session lasts between 30 - 45 minutes.

All session therapy resources and appropriate activities are included. Follow up exercises which can be carried out at home, will also be given.

Block bookings for Therapy

We highly recommend booking therapy blocks of at least 6 sessions as this provides maximum opportunity for progress to be made.

Attendance at meetings, treatment programmes, reports and letters will be charged in terms of the total time taken to prepare them. Attendance at meetings is charged at the same rate + travel £75/hour pro rata to the nearest hour

 

Paired or group sessions (of up to 4 people)

45 min paired/group sessions £35 per person, per session

Block of 6 (45 min paired/group session)  180 discount 5% final price - £171 per person

Block of 10 (45 min paired/group session)  300 discount 10% final price - £270 per person

 

Travel charges would be 0.49 per mile for home visits. If over 20 miles, travel time is instead charged at a rate of £45 per hour. Travel time/mileage is calculated using Google maps (www.maps.google.co.uk)

 

Therapy for adults following a Stroke includes:

● Assessing what parts of language are lost and retained

● Helping to re-learn lost or damaged communication skills

● Strengthening the communication skills that are left

● Finding new methods of communication

● Sharing with others your best methods of communicating

 

The severity of your condition will have a significant impact on the recovery rate you can expect, so treatment is tailored to you and realistic goals are set. If possible and appropriate, family and friends may be involved in therapy.

 

Cancellation policy

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellation of appointments where possible. Appointment cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or failed attendance will be charged at the agreed session rate.

Payment

Invoices will be presented at the end of each month. Payment terms are strictly 30 days and I reserve the right to charge interest on amounts outstanding at a rate of 5% per month or part thereof. I also reserve the right to pass outstanding debts to third party collection

agencies.
